We’re overjoyed to be able to announce that we have the mighty Boss Keloid and Tuskar coming to Sheffield next year!
BK are a personal favourite of the Heel Turn team and were ridiculously happy to be able to put them on. Their heavy mix of prog, stoner and sludge was beautifully realised in their last record, Melted on the Inch, which was one of 2018s absolute best.
Noisy sludge/doom duo Tuskar will be familiar to some previous Heel Turn gigs goers as the headliners from a special birthday bash gig from 2019. We’re delighted to be able to welcome them back as part of this package.
Local support comes from two bands.
Dead Cosmonauts are a relatively new, instrumental group that combines elements of prog, post-rock, post-metal space rock and doom into absolutely epic soundscapes. Their EP ‘We Sent Fragile Creatures to the Heavens But Not All of Them Perished’ is one of the most impressive debuts we have heard in Sheffield for a long while.
Opening up the evening will be Le Menhir. A mainstay of Heel Turn shows, Paul Sparshott’s post-metal/doom project has grown and evolved over its couple of years and we’re excited to see what he has in store for us.
