A party celebrating Okapi Books’ award-winning first publication, The Storm, by Sheffield-based writer Akeem Balogun.

This is a free event that will feature performances from Rider Shafique, who has collaborated w/ the likes of Swindle, Apple Music and Deep Medi; Utah?, who has graced sets on Rinse FM and seen releases w/ Coyote Records and Symbols; DSL Official, who has played alongside Slimzee, Youngstar and Mak10; and Dan G, who has opened for the likes of Children of Zeus and played at Eskimo Dance and on NTS.

The author will be in conversation about the book, and the original painting for 'The Storm' by Arantza Pardo will be on display. Copies of the book will also be on sale.
