In May 2019 SONA explored Orkney collecting visual and audio data to create a portrait of the islands. The resulting project – LANDMASS – combines analogue and digital production tools using photography, field recordings, data visualisation and sonification techniques to create a unique AV installation.

SONA will be in residency at Sidney & Matilda from Monday 2nd - Saturday 7th March.

We are hosting several events in conjunction with the residency, as follows:

Mon 2nd March, 6pm – A practical introduction to sound art (registration required - https://is.gd/sonasoundart)
Tues 3rd – Thurs 5th March, 5–6pm – Open studio hours (all welcome)
Fri 6th March, 7pm – Exhibition opening night
Sat 7th March, 10 am – 4pm – Exhibition open day
