Flock presents: ADELPHI MUSIC FACTORY | BANK HOLIDAY DAY RAVE

  • Sidney and Matilda 46 Sidney Street Sheffield, England, S1 4RH United Kingdom (map)

Flock is back at Sidney & Matilda and we're joined by Sheff City Crew Adelphi Music Factory for our biggest party yet. This is a Bank Holiday day rave, meaning we're kicking off at 3pm with sunny courtyard vibes. Let our carefully curated cast of conductors taking you on a journey from mid-afternoon, through sunset and right on into the those first hours of darkness.

ADELPHI MUSIC FACTORY

An industrial northern collective of producers, DJs, creatives and music makers, Adelphi Music Factory's Gospel House Trilogy ('Javelin', 'Feel Right Now', 'Salvation') tops industry charts and gains more than 15 million streams. Each limited edition vinyl sells out within days. DJ support pours in from across the globe including The Blessed Madonna, Gerd Janson, Dusky, Disclosure, and Annie Mac, who has made each release her Hottest Record in the World.

We were there at their sold out out debut gig at Yellow Arch Studios and have remained ardent admirers ever since. It gave just a glimpse of the AMF live show and they tore the roof off the place that night. It's been a long-discussed dream of ours to one day have Adelphi Music Factory play for us, and this May at our favourite venue, that dream becomes a reality. Since that first show, AMF have blown crowds away at The Warehouse Project, Parklife Festival, Printworks, and Field Day Festival to name but a few, and now we bring them to perhaps their most intimate show yet as hometown heroes this May Day.

GARRY WHITE

Bournemouth-based Slinky resident Garry White is a veteran of the scene. A local lad, Gaz has spent the past 20+ years playing around the country and Europe, and notably has spent most of his time as resident at Bournemouth's premier dance night, Slinky. The success of the night prompted the influential Muzik magazine to describe the town as 'Britain's new clubbing capital'. Elsewhere, Gaz has played at Space Ibiza, Ministry London, and headlined Homelands Festival to 40,000 blissed out revellers, before making his big return back to South Yorkshire for our last event at Sidney & Matilda in November. Due to popular demand, and Gaz himself saying he'd like to come back as he's 'not felt energy like that since the 90s', we're bringing him home again. Ask anyone who was there at our last event and they'll tell you about the show Gaz puts on, and we just had to bring him back for this one. Don't miss your chance to see one of the country's great original dancefloor conductors as Flock brings him back to where it all began.

LEDGER

We're delighted to have Flock resident Ledger play for you all once again. He got the party started at our very first event back in July last year, and has gone from strength to strength since, gaining huge plaudits from labels and peers alike. He closed our last night, sending a sea of ravers home happy after yet another flawless set. With impeccable track selection and an eye for a tune, Ledger's masterful concoction of minimal beats, deep house grooves and electro intimations are primed to get the Flock dancefloor moving yet again. Prepare for a very special journey from one of our very own.

GROSS RODRIGUEZ

Flock resident Gross Rodriguez is in charge of getting the fiesta started on May Day with his cultured craft of Latin-inflected house. Expect funky beats and infectious rhythms you will not be able to get out of your head as he takes you through the early afternoon. We're excited to salsa through the sunny courtyard with you all.
